Safety Procedures
Driving to Camp
If you or any of your group are coming to Forest Lakes from the north, (driving south), please pass on this important information... When turning right into Forest Lakes Road, please pull to the left and wait until it is clear to cross the road. See more on our Location page. Camp Activities As an organisation that provides challenging experiences for children, we are very aware of our obligations to ensure utmost safety on all our activities and equipment. We know that as an organiser of your camp, you will be required to meet certain Safety Practice Codes and present these to your Board of Trustees. To assist you in meeting these obligations, a Risk Analysis Management System for each activity and codes of practice for selected activities are available on our Teachers / Organisers resources page. |
Upon arrival at camp, a safety video is compulsory viewing for those involved in supervising use of the Waterslide, Mudslide, and Confidence Course.
Instructed Activities
Horse riding, Gladiator and Kayaking are all instructed by camp staff. All of our activity equipment is subject to a regular maintenance program and complies with OSH requirements. All activities are to be offered on a 'challenge by choice' basis.
